Growing up Buddhist has a strong influence in my work. I wasn't very religious as a kid, but as I got older, I began to appreciate the philosophy of the teachings. This piece is the result of my questioning “Who am I?”, “What am I?”, “Have I been here before?”. It started a series of pod sculptures titled “Spirit Vessels”. It is my way of giving answers to the questions I still carry with me.
