What is a gate? In its simplest form, it's
a portal from one place to another, usually with an obstacle in
it. We have to pass through this barrier in order to get to the
other side. We have many gates in our lives. Gates that prevent
us from going to where we want to go, gates that keep us bound
to where we are. Are these gates real or imagined? The center
rod represents the barrier as it is, without illusions, in its
reality. The other two; how we perceive it and how others see
it.
